Goodbye

A decade after World War Three, drones start to attack humans again, especially in Hermingheart, England. Anne’s friend Roy is taken.

Anne wants to find Roy.

Roy wants to escape.

Iris wants to save her people.

They’ll have to give up something: or they’ll all be destroyed.

Goodbye is my debut YA science fiction novel, and I'm proud to say I've been writing it since October 2016!

I am currently submitting to publishers, and I hope to have 2020-2021 publication!

Time Away

When Maddie Ryan’s rich, fashion-oriented grandma asks Maddie’s step-father to model in Milan, he refuses. Why wouldn’t he? The Hendersons are spoiled, rich brats. But his mother needs him, so everyone, including her uncle James’ family, comes to Milan. Terrible doesn’t even begin to summarize the situation as more and more secrets unfold, and the family goes into complete chaos. Will a summer in Milan tear them apart, or could it be what brings them all together?

Time Away is my second work in progress. I was inspired to write this story by Chicago's song Hard to Say I'm Sorry, and adopted the first line as my title.

I love the idea of a broken family being forced to work together, even if they don't want to. It's also a sort of ode to Italy, the country I come from.

Even though I am still at the beginning chapters, I think it's going great! I'm still not sure if it will become a novel or novelette, but right now all I'm focusing on is putting pen to paper (or rather, fingers to laptop keys).

I've started freelance writing almost two years ago, and I'm loving it so far. I've written anonymously for a news platform for over a year, and five guest posts listed below: just click on the titles to read!

About Me

Hi everyone! I’m Lucia Brucoli, teen aspiring author and freelance writer.

I love expressing myself through words, especially by writing novels and poetry. Since I've started freelance writing, I've also learnt and enjoyed writing inspirational and how-to articles.

Although stealing chocolate and obsessing over the color blue are my main hobbies, I also enjoy singing my heart out, binge-watching t.v. shows, drawing, reading, and of course writing!
